HEADING STYLE
       

Pictured below are six different types of curtain headings to help you get an idea of what they are and the amount of fabric required for each.  Most of the headings below need 2.5 - 3 times the width of your window for the correct fullness.  When calculating metreage, don't forget to allow for end returns, overlap & creepage.

        When to use these headings:
Triple Pinch Pleat- keeps your curtains in neat folds, evenly spaced.  Looks great in formal dining or sitting room. 
Inverted Box Pleat - A different pleat to the traditional pinch pleats.  Sits flatter, looks smooth and neat. 
Champagne Pleat - A much more formal heading, a minimum of 15cm deep, so it needs to be on tall curtains.  		    Eyelet heading - A minimal style that is much more modern than the other headings.  Curtains sit in even folds. 
Double Pinch Pleat - Similar to Triple Pinch pleat, with less fullness.  Looks a little more casual but still has even folds. 
Pencil Pleat - One of the easiest D.I.Y tapes.  Looks more casual, folds are not evenly spaced.  Is used behind a pelmet.
